Gym Time!

Sunday is usually gym day for me. I’ve been trying to work out 3 times a week and so far I have been sticking to the routine. Not only am I going for the sake of my knee but also as a way for me to reduce stress. I strongly believe that working out is great for the mind, body and soul. There are so many benefits to it which includes increased self-confidence, self-esteem, strength and energy as well as less stress and better co-ordination. Staying fit should be a part of everyone’s life. I’m working towards being in decent shape for the summer… but I have to admit, I’m a sucker for chocolate and sweets. :)

Here’s my usual gym routine:

Bike: 30-40 mins
Wall Squats: 3 sets of 20 reps
Bridging on ball with hamstring curls: 3 sets of 20 reps
Balance on Wobble board: 2 x 3mins
Ab crunches: 2 sets of 40reps
Biceps: 2 sets of 20 reps
Triceps: 2 sets of 20 reps
Lunges: 2 sets of 15 reps

Going to get ready for the gym now!

I went canoeing at Pitt Lake then hiked to Widgeon falls today. Good work out and beautiful scenery!!!

By the way, the canoe I rented today is called UCKY Yu....

(It was supposed to be BUCKY Yukon... but a few letters were missing...)

I highly recommend this to all those who enjoy the great outdoors.

My reward: watching the Amazing Race in the evening! Next Sunday is the season finale!!

aaron, sounds like you had fun this past weekend. I've never heard of Widgeon falls... must pay a visit one day.

So which couple do you think will win the Amazing Race?? Who are you cheering for?
